About MadrinaHomes

One person reading home policies line by line, so the cover on your house is something you understand.

Why I do this

A Home Policy Should Make Sense to Its Owner

Most people sign a home policy without ever being shown how its parts fit together. I started MadrinaHomes to change that for the homeowners I work with. I sit down with the details of your house and explain what every section of the policy is there to do.

I do not rush that conversation. A roof, a kitchen and a garage full of tools each raise their own questions, and I would rather answer them now than after a loss. The buying decision stays with you. My part is making sure you can see what you are choosing.

How I work

Three Habits I Bring to Every Policy

Plain words first

I explain a clause in everyday language before any figure is discussed, so nothing on the page feels like a riddle.

Your house, not an average one

I look at how your place is built and used, then shape the limits around that instead of a standard template.

Questions stay open

Ask me the same thing twice if you need to. I keep answering until the policy reads clearly to you.

Who I help

Homeowners at Different Points Along the Way

New owners

A house purchase brings a policy decision with it. I go over every cover so the choice is an informed one.

Long time owners

A policy set up long ago may no longer match the house. I compare what it says with what stands there today.

Remodelers

A new kitchen or an added room changes what rebuilding would take. I help bring the dwelling limit back in line.

Owners of older homes

Aged roofs, wiring and plumbing can affect terms. I point out where a policy treats them differently.

See What Each Cover Is For

My coverage page breaks a home policy into its parts and explains what each one can do for you.

Three steps to cover

From Signup Form to a Home Policy That Fits

  1. Describe your home

Fill in the signup form with the basics: the year your house was built, the roof type and how it is used.

  2. Set each limit

I set dwelling, belongings and liability limits by what the house and its contents could cost to replace.

  3. Confirm your cover

Choose a deductible you could manage after a loss, look over the policy details and confirm your request.
